This a a new column for the blog that tries to extract some lessons from famous people. One time I heard we should read about those who became successful and try to learn and copy them. Then, I started reading some biographies, which became my favorite books. Also knowing about someone famous can be very useful in a conversation and make we look very attractive and smart ;)

Nutrition: Eating at least 5 times a day!
If you don't eat at regular intervals throughout the day, you risk disrupting your blood sugar and insulin levels, which in the end can promote fat storage and lower your metabolism, both of which lead to weight gain.
The solution: Eat something every three to four hours and never let yourself "starve" from one meal to the next. Consuming five small meals daily instead of three square ones can keep you fit and trim. Fruits are great as snacks in between main meals.

A few comments on texting and guys....
Texting may be a simple communication tool when the dialogue between you and your
friend, your brother or your mom. But when it comes to guys, it becomes a
science to be studied with careful attention. If Freud was alive, I would def
request him an analysis on the topic. Since he’s not capable of doing that, I
did it myself. The conclusions I’ve made (and please tell me if you share the
same thoughts!):
1) Guys don’t like any kind of
punctuation that shows too much emotion. No exclamation or even interrogation
marks. Reticences are not good either, it seems like you’re waiting for
his response. So I ALWAYS stick with periods. They are safer.
2) Yes, I do think at least three
different ways to reply to his latest text, and then I rephrase the one I chose
at least twice. See, it is necessary.
The words you choose and the punctuation make all the difference.
3) The less, the better. Not too many
explanations, not to opened. I don’t want guys to be able to figure me out by
the text messages I sent. I want to keep the mystery and the interest alive, so
he will want to see me and get to know me better.
4) The first time he asks me out on a
date or sends me a hint through text that he wants to meet with me, I am busy.
No matter what. Something like, “I have plans for tonight already”. That’s it.
I don’t justify or say where. In my head I am thinking that I will lose him,
but the truth is: he will want me more. And the next invitation will come. If
he asks what the plan is, I go for the extremes. I either go for something simple, like “I
promised to the movies with my sister tonight”, so he will be intrigued, “Why does she prefer to
go to the movies with her sister instead of cancelling it and hanging out with
me?”. Or I go for something real fun, like a bar, or party, so he knows that I
am having fun, with or without him.
5) I always let his text be the last
one. So I never end the conversation. He will be wondering what I could’ve said
and I always have the opportunity to say something the next day, so it is not
too much text from me.
6) If I want to say something but I am
not too sure about after thinking it twice, I don’t say it. You can always say
something that hasn’t been said, but you can’t “unsend” a message (that should
be an option for the next phone generations!).
7) I NEVER answer him right away. It is
too boring, too predictable. He can’t know you’re there, available all the
time. He has to think you’re busy with something else, that you are not
checking your phone twice every second (even though that’s the truth). I like
him wondering when he will get my text, so I prefer him checking his phone ten
times a minute.
How crazy is that! haha!! Please tell me what do you think about it?

Leopard Print Loafers
I am in love with the leopard print loafers that have been around for a while.

I finally got to buy mine last week. I hate to pay a lot of money for anything. I find it much more interesting to pay little for something that looks expensive. I found them at Kohls for $49.50 but I ended up paying $17!!! Here they are:
I wore them three times already. They just go with everything, leggings, short skirts, jeans!
The Easiest Home Made Facial Scrub
Girls! When it comes to buying expensive products, again, I always think twice. And usually the second time I think about it, I end up not buying and just go home with empty hands hahaha. That's why I love home made tricks, it's just so easy, almost no money spent, no allergies, no disappointments. And because it is natural, the result is mostly positive.
Once a week,, I feel like my skins screams for a scrub. So I mix 1tbspoon of honey and 1tbspoon of sugar (brown sugar if possible), and gently scrub all over my face and neck areas, doing circle movements. It does get red, as I put some preassure, but 10 minutes after I wash it off, the skin feels much more even and soft.
Try it! = )
We are the vogue!
What is
your fashion style?
Well,
if you found that question hard to answer, we are definitely in the same page!
I am sure everyone has one specific style that they identify better with, but
in my opinion fashion trends and styles should be used as an INSPIRATION to help
us build our own unique closet.
Just
to get started, here are just three inspirations for the 2012 spring:

5 mistakes about hair
Just a few days ago I read an article from a famous Spa about mistakes people make about hair
care. You might already know some of them, but it is always good to
remind ourselves:
Mistake #1 - Apply conditioner to the scalp
Conditioners, in general, are moisturizing products that supply the lack of nutrients of hair. However, they should not be applied to the scalp, a location that is naturally hydrated. It should be applied just at certain spots, to avoid increasing the amount of chemical substances on the scalp.
Mistake #2 - Exaggerating in the use of leave-in
The leave-in should not be used daily. It does not treat the hair, only provides a momentary result, waterproofing and hiding the dry aspect of the strands. When using the leave-in, the ideal is to apply it in small quantities - the size of a quarter coin.
Mistake #3 - Rubbing the ends of the hair in the shower
Wet hair is at its most fragile form, as their scales are loose. Rubbing will make them all intertwine and consequentially fray the hair, coming up to break it.
The ideal is to just rub your scalp and let the foam drips through the hair, which is enough to keep them clean.
Mistake #4 - Brushing tangled hair
This is a classic mistake! We must pay close attention! As already mentioned, wet hair is fragile. To disentangle them, the ideal is to use a comb, preferably medium or large, always starting from the end and up to the scalp.
Mistake #5 - Sleeping with wet hair
Conditioners, in general, are moisturizing products that supply the lack of nutrients of hair. However, they should not be applied to the scalp, a location that is naturally hydrated. It should be applied just at certain spots, to avoid increasing the amount of chemical substances on the scalp.

Mistake #5 - Sleeping with wet hair
Although many people think it is a myth, it is not! The scalp, like the rest of the hair, takes a long time to dry completely. The moisture stimulates the proliferation of bacteria and fungi, which increases seborrhea, dandruff and other types of diseases, and in some cases can lead to hair loss. Moreover, since humid hair is more fragile, it breaks more easily.
Having a healthy
beautiful hair is one of the most important tools women have. It gives us confidence!

Welcome to The BeautyBerries!
I am so
happy that I finally decided to create this blog to express all the thoughts I have
about life in general and that recurrent question: “What makes any girl attractive?” I’ve been keeping
my eyes opened to many beauty, hair, fashion and style blogs searching for an
answer. However, I’ve come to the conclusion that being attractive and special
takes a little more than watching the outside.
Have you
ever looked at a not-so-pretty girl with an out-of-this-world boyfriend and
wondered: Howwww come?!
I truly think there isn't anything more attractive than living with JOY. I would love to share ideas with you on how to keep moving inspired and full of energy.
I really
hope you enjoy this space and become a part of it. Your opinion will help me
and others to find out and spread the secret of a fun and happy and attractive lifestyle!
